Looking for a Chibi Chibi...

I know it's only 3 weeks before katsucon, and it's probably a long shot. But Tiff's (StarlightHoneymn) Wedding senshi group is now down a Chibi Chibi. (We had someone back out.) And that's the only character we're missing. Granted probably no one will know that she's missing in the first place. <.<

The shoot is on Saturday and we're all meeting at 11-11:30am and the shoot's at about 12:30-1pm.

The problem is that you'd have to make your own costume. And at this point trying to fit another costume and photoshoot in is hard. ^^; But her dress is also rather simple.

I already asked around and this is my last place I'm posting this. I figured someone here would be more likely to do it, then some random person.

Just leave a comment if your interested or if you can definitely do it.

Bakery Aprons tutorial (kinda)

Tiff has already made her apron and it came out great! Here's a picture of the top of it:

For those that haven't made theirs yet and don't really know how to go about doing it, I'm going to let you know how she made hers.

First off for measurements. Measure from the side of one of your breast to the side of the other one. That'll be how wide the top part of the heart will be. The point will be in the very middle of your bust, Make the humps of the heart as if it was going to cover you like a bra. And from the middle of your bust to your belly button is the length of the heart top peice.

The apron is in 3 different peices, The heart, band, and bottom peice. She tried to do it all one peice but the heart didn't fit right on the rest of it. It's also made with two layers and then turned inside out. The lace was sewn onto the back after it was turned the right way.

The stripes are made from a 7/8" ribbed non satin ribbon that you can find in all the colors at joannes and probably other fabric stores. The ribbon is placed 1 1/2 inches apart from each other. And is attached using Steam A Seam. Make sure you melt the ends of the ribbons using a lighter before attaching them, so they don't fray.

I hope this helps some of you. And I hope I didn't make it too confusing. I was going to use a different method but I think I'm switching to hers for the simplicity. :) If you have anymore questions just let me know and I can ask her more questions.

Can't wait to see you all at Katsu! ^^

I'm in need of a Sailor Uranus outfit if anyone is selling one, etc. She's pretty much the only one I can cosplay correctly with as short as my hair is =/. Thx!!

Photoshoot gap fill in...

Ok well. My friend Rachael is now going to be Rei instead of Matoko for the bakery group.

And also StarlightHoneyMn would like to fill in the gap for Michi and she'll bring her friend as Minako, for the Sailor Stars Uniform group. And if you need her for Matoko in the bakery group, she asked me to let her know and she'll do it. If all thats ok. ^^

As for the aprons, i can't find a pattern anywhere thats similar to them. We may just need to make our own pattern.

Aprons;

To all the lovely ladies involved with the Bakery group-

What are we doing in terms of aprons? Is there a common pattern we're using or are we figuring it out? 'Cause I just finished Mina's base dress and wanted to get a head start on everything else.

Also, can I just say I'm super stoked about this? The rainbow will be tasted, bitches.

Bakery Outfit pattern

So I was at joann's today and I found a pattern that I thought would fit for our bakery outfits. That is if you haven't found one yet. And I thought it would help so everyone would look the same. ^^

Also if you have a joann's near you, they're having a sale on McCall patterns this weekend. $0.99 each! Woot! \o/

what do you think?

The leotards for Sailor Scouts

I asked once before, but no one got back to me. I was wondering where you ordered the base leotards for the Super Sailor Senshi that we did at Katsucon this year.

Thanks! ^^

"Are you guys alive?"

Moonlight Requiem Cosplay's groups at Katsucon this year were a resounding success and we would like to thank everyone who stepped up to be a part of it! MR is currently in its planning stages for the groups at Anime Expo 2007, however we can reveal that one will be an Imperial Tenchi Muyo Group.(Jurai Royal Family Emphasis, Goddess outfits, Galaxy Police Uniforms, etc.) Our leaders are presently compiling the list and preparing for opening up the membership, so be on the lookout!

Thanks!
